COOKIE POLICY

What we store, and what you can refuse.

Some cookies keep your basket working. The rest are optional, and declining them changes nothing about what you can do here.

THE BASICS

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and between visits — what is in your basket, whether you are signed in, whether you have chosen to see prices with or without VAT.

Some cookies are necessary for the site to work at all. Others are optional and are used to understand how the site is being used. We set the optional ones only if you agree.

This policy sits alongside our Privacy policy, which explains what we do with personal information more generally.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept cookies that are not strictly necessary. Declining is as easy as accepting, and declining does not stop you browsing, ordering or using any part of the site.

Until you accept, we do not set optional cookies. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function are set regardless, as the law permits.

CATEGORIES

What we use, and why

CategoryWhat it doesConsent needed
Strictly necessaryKeeps your basket, keeps you signed in, carries your session through checkout, remembers your VAT display preference, and protects against fraud and abuseNo — the site cannot work without them
AnalyticsTells us which pages are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve the siteYes
MarketingMeasures whether advertising is working, and may be used to show relevant advertising elsewhereYes
PreferencesRemembers choices such as language and region so you do not set them each visitYes

Categories are handled through Shopify's customer privacy system, which passes your choice to the services running on this site.

WHO SETS THEM

Our cookies and other people's

This store runs on Shopify, which sets the cookies that make the shop function — the basket, the session, the checkout, and protection against fraudulent orders. Shopify publishes the full list, with names and durations, at shopify.com/legal/cookies. That list is maintained by Shopify and is more current than anything we could copy here.

Where a payment provider or a carrier is involved in completing your order, they may set their own cookies on their own pages. Those are governed by their policies, not ours.

Two things we deliberately do not do. Our fonts are self-hosted rather than loaded from a font service, so visiting this site does not send your IP address to a third-party font provider. And we do not embed video players that load until you click them — the video tabs on product pages use a no-cookie player and load nothing until you ask them to.

CONTROL

Changing your mind

Two ways to change your choice

  1. 1 Clear the cookies for this site in your browser settings. The banner will appear again on your next visit and you can answer differently.
  2. 2 Change your browser's cookie settings to block or delete cookies generally. Every major browser has this under privacy or security settings.

UPDATES

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the cookies used on the site change, and when the law requires. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.

Questions about cookies, or about anything else to do with your data, go to [TBC-P12].

This policy describes the cookies used on this website. Third parties involved in completing your order may set cookies on their own pages under their own policies.
